IHI UAE Co. Ltd. was established on 7th March 1978 between Ishikawajima - Harima Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (IHI), Japan and United Trading and Services Co., UAE, for carrying out the local works for IHI's awarded plant projects.
The Company has executed the site work, logistics and the local fabrication work in UAE & other GCC countries with a support of IHI up to 1986 for the following projects:
- Umm Al-Nar West Desalination Plant units 1 ~ 6 & Auxiliaries in Abu Dhabi, UAE / Logistics
- Mafraq Sewage Treatment Plant Phase - 1 in Abu Dhabi, UAE / EPC
- Sewage Pumping Stations in Abu Dhabi . UAE / EPC
- Al-Jabail Desalination Plant Phase 2 : 10 Units, Saudi Arabia / EPC
- LNG Tanks and Other Tanks in Das Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE/ EPC
- BOG Compressor and Other Compressors in Das Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE / Supply
- Union Cement Plant, Phase -1 and 2 in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE / EPC
- Al-Ain Cement Plant, Phase -1 and Phase 2 in Abu Dhabi, UAE / EPC
- Power Generation Plant in Das Insland, Abu Dhabi, UAE / EPC
Since 1987 having a new shareholder, the company has independently implemented the following construction and EPC Contracts:

- ZADCO Metalscan, UAE / EPC
